ABOUT
Villa Florence is discretely nestled away on the ridgeway of the village of Alet-les-Bains, its elevated position gives it wonderful views over one of the prettiest villages in France. This dreamy, timeless village and mountain views can be enjoyed from the veranda, kitchen, lounge and garden.
The Villa is split level and the terraced garden has lots of different spaces to enjoy. The large pool feels secluded with surrounding flowers and trees, whilst positioned to enjoy the sun all day long. Parasols and loungers surround the large pool, the pool terrace has a summer kitchen, facilities and bar area, which are also perfect for outdoor entertaining.
It’s a peaceful retreat with activities, bustling local markets, historical sites, the wonderful landscape of the midi-Pyrenees for cycling and walking. The wine routes and festivals of Limoux, and other local regions and the castle and city vibe of Carcassonne. The Mediterranean beaches are just over an hour away, as is Spain, and Andorra ski centres.

We have a fully equipped kitchen. Choose to dine inside, on the balcony with beautiful views, beside the garden or next the pool
Garden
The south facing garden overlooks the old town of Alet-les-Bains, the Abbaye, the Cathedral with the mountains as a backdrop. The garden has lots of special places: an elevated rock garden with a couple of chairs and table, a bistro table and chairs just to the side of the pool, a quiet bench by the fruit trees and oleander, a terrace at the bottom of the garden for suppers away from the house and a gravel terrace for boules. The summer kitchen is inside the fenced pool area.
Pool
The pool has a deep and shallow end. It's surrounded by an array of trees and flowers, and not overlooked.

Alet-les-Bains, Aude and in the L’Occitaine region is a small village steeped in history with a medieval Abbaye and Cathedral, thermal mineral springs found by the Romans 2000 years ago, is situated on the river Aude with local activities including canoeing, and is short distance from the wine making region of Limoux, Rennes le Chateaux, and the historic town of Carcassonne.
